I really think your children are pretty fortunate. You’re determined to make his or her bedroom into something fanciful, fun and inventive. I remember having just the basics when I was a kid… a bed, blankets and pillows. But nothing at all like the fashionable bedding for children that’s for sale nowadays. First of all is your child a boy or a girl…?

If your little one is still a bit young to let you know what designs she would like in her bedding, then just use her personality to give you a guide as to what she’d like.

I would generally buy only brand named bedding. Why do I say that…..? They will have established a reputation for superior quality which involves details like stitching seams properly, using quality bed linen fabrics that are long-lasting and keep their colors through many washes, but that are above all, safe. Brand name bedding companies will make more of an effort to pay attention to the details that matter to keep their reputations.

You really don’t need to limit yourself to selecting the bedding items that the maker recommends though — feel free to use your favorite dresser or rocking chair or what ever other piece of furniture or accessory might go well in the kids room. The idea is to have fun and create a room that your children will love to pass time playing in and dreaming in.
